Troubleshooting

Welcome to the Troubleshooting and Support page for Giftify! Here, we aim to assist you in resolving common issues you may encounter while using our bot.

Common Problems and Troubleshooting Tips

  1. Missing Permissions: If the bot is not responding or seems unresponsive, it might be due to insufficient permissions. To resolve this issue, ensure that the bot has the necessary permissions in the server or channel it is operating in. The following permissions are typically required:

    • Read Messages

    • Send Messages

    • Embed Links

    • Mention Everyone (optional)

Check the role permissions for the bot or ask a server administrator to grant the required permissions.

  2. Commands Not Showing Up: If the bot's commands are not showing up or not working as expected, consider the following steps:

    1. Ensure that the bot is added to the server you are using. If not, use the bot invitation link from Setup page to invite the bot.

    2. Due to discord's limitations, if your server has more than 50 bots, you will have to remove some of the bots for the slash commands to show up.

  3. Unexpected Behavior: If the bot exhibits unexpected behavior or responds incorrectly, consider the following steps:

    1. Check the command usage and syntax by referring to the documentation.

    2. If the issue persists, check How to Seek Support part.
